Mmmarvelous Innaugral Mommy's Day

Sammy Sr. and Sammy Jr.
Toast All the Mamans For Their Day of Honour

Sammy is growing like a weed….Busy Boy is always on the move and is definitely giving us a run for our money. The BIG milestones of late are saying hi and waving at anyone and everyone. He is much more verbal rambling and babbling non stop to anyone who will listen. It is quite adorable waking up in to his morning sermon/revelations from the crib.

The little boy certainly did not disappoint me with a wonderful first mommy's day. The little man showered me with an adorable hand crafted card with beautiful prose. We then fired up and a bbq feast with Nana and Grandma on tap to partkake in our joint day of honour. It still spins me out that I am actually a mom.

The rest of the week was filled with our funtastic habitual outings. We're back at soccer on Tuesdays and the little man sits at the sidelines with his fellow fans-Jacob and Amelia cheering us on....He is pretty good on the self amusement front....cheerios and a few toys seem to keep the little man preoccupied for 10 minute blocks..I was forewarned that parents are best to plan out their days in 10 minute intervals in order to mesh with kids limited attention spans....I now fully understantd and appreciate this tidbit of advice.

Mover and Shaker has still yet to take his first official step...we are waiting with bated breath for the 'end of our freedom' once the man decides to waltz upright on his own. The warmer temps are a welcome change to allow us to embark on new outings and take in new sights after the closure of outerware season...love the ability to say bye bye to the jackets and hats!

Timbit Raises a Sippy Cup in Salute to His Maman

Sam Man has now almost finished his latest sessions of swimming and of singing...we are now going to scrounge for some summer fun activities to keep us sane and stimulated for the summer. I am still on the fence about going back to work more than 2 days a week in the fall so want to max out the summer fun possibilities!
